In RE this term, the children are studying different faiths, including Islam and Judaism. They are exploring their values and beliefs and how these impact on their lives.

As a family challenge this term, I would like you to work together as a family to produce a Family Shield, or Coat of Arms, which shows the things that are most important to you and that you value the most. You might like to come up with a Family Motto to add to your shield. Make them as colourful as possible. You could use material and collage to make it more interesting. KS2 children should also write a paragraph to explain their shield, like the one below in the middle.

Please send them in by 16th February. There will be dojos for all entries and a prize in each key stage.
